Tram Cables going up in Teton Village
The construction on the tram is getting closer and closer to completion! This week the workers began installing the track and haul cables which should be completed in the next few weeks. Just Tuesday, steel pieces for the top terminal were delivered to Teton Village preparing for install. Not only will the new top terminal have wider walkways than the original top terminal, the stairs have been eliminated to make it more user-friendly. The 100-passenger tram cars are still in Switzerland waiting inspection but should arrive in Teton Village next month! Don’t forget to visit www.tram-formation.com
for the last updates on the new tram construction. While you are checking out the website, don’t forget to register for a chance to ride on the first tram opening day of the 2008-09 ski season!!

(Note: This picture was taken today of the base terminal and the 80-foot-tall clock tower. To the left of the tram terminal – and behind the trees is the Village Center.)

The new building will be 70,395-square-feet, consisting of 5 floors of residential condos, a garage, a lounge, restaurant space, and a spa.
